Sustainable Rice Seed production & Delivery system on southern Bangladesh (SRSPDS):
Mukti Foundation has been implementing the SRSPDS Project since 2009 supported by IRRI Bangladesh and funded by USAID. The working areas of this Project are Paikgacha and Koyra Upazilas of Khulna District and Tala Upazila of Satkhira District. By this time 3882 farmers are benefited from this Project. There are 66 Demo Farmers and 3816 general farmers. Along with others Technical support 10,200 Kg. Rice Seeds has distributed among the selected farmers (Aman Rice Seeds- 3700 Kg, Boro Rice Seeds- 5300 Kg and Aus Rice Seeds 1200 Kg). One technical field staff distributed Boro rice seed has employed under this Project.
Legal Status: For the legalization of programming activities Mukti Foundation got registration from the following Govt. departments; (i) Registered with NGO Affairs Bureau vide FDR No. 1391 dated 08.06.1999; (ii) Registered with Joint Stock Company under Society Act Khulna-124 dated 11.04.2005; (iii) Registered with Micro Credit Regulatory vide Registration No. 0000381 dated 23.02.2009 & (iv) Registered with Department of Social Services vide Registration No. Satkhira-1092 dated 10.11.2010
